*This post is mostly for Daddy, who is in Romania this week on business. We will keep him up to date while he's away. :-) *
Delaney is sick today. She has been coughing for about a week, has had a sore throat since yesterday, is losing appetite, and as of today, also has a fever. She has a doctor's appt later this afternoon. Hopefully we can get her better before the big birthday bash on Saturday! Delaney and Sadie have birthdays the same week, and so far have wanted pretty much the same type of birthday parties, so it works out to do it on the same day. Here she is vegging out on the couch watching a Schoolhouse Rock DVD.
Here is the rest of the crew upstairs in the schoolroom, taking a snack break.
Josh and I are playing a game called "Lots of Squares" from Peggy Kaye's book. You have to roll the dice to get the first number to graph, roll again for the second number. Find the area by multiplying; the person with the biggest number wins that round. They get practice with graphing, multiplying, and visualization of a math problem. You can see that Josh liked this game.
A close up of the graph paper. You will see by the scores at the top that Josh is winning.
You will notice that Josh is not at public school in this photo. I was planning to do his official withdrawal from school this afternoon, but Delaney's doctor appt has delayed that. I will post more about it later when I get a chance, but he is back at home for school. He is VERY happy about that decision.
