And for any interested parties, here was the SOC (straight out of camera) shot:
I know I have talked to several of you now about the fun I'm having with Photoshop Elements. On this one, I cropped, edited out some junk on her face as well as reflections of kitchen lights on the sunglasses, added some muted B&W, and then played around with the neon glow filter.
I was sitting in church today and had this thought. I think the reason that I love playing around with my camera so much is that it really gives you a deeper appreciation for all of the little details in your everyday life. You see how beautiful a sunny day really is, how precious those little baby fingers are. It's a way to capture those fleeting moments that you are afraid that you will forget as time passes on. You gain a deeper respect for He who made it all possible.
Tres chic! And, good thoughts! I couldn't agree more. And, I am holding you completely responsible if I don't get a thing done around the house this week.
