Alright, I'll address the elephant in the room.  Are you ready if a big bad virus hits your neighborhood?  Are you turning off the news and hope it all goes away?  Just curious what everyone thinks about it.  Anybody that knows me well knows that I have my preps in order, just in case.  (My personal opinion is that we may get a mild wave now, but may get a much uglier wave in the fall.  But I'll be ready either way.)  Today I'm doing some heavy spring cleaning, just to make me feel better.  :-)

So, what's your M.O. for this kind of thing?

The girls had their cousin Alayna over on a Friday night for some dinner, manicures, American Girl doll adventures, and a movie.  I really need to remember to make more time for stuff like this!

My nephew, Logan, (Ava's age) got his first big-kid scooter recently.  I was there to witness his first owwie on it last night.  Just look at those little cheeks!

Howdy -- we're having a nice Saturday.  We've seen some racing weiner dogs and I'm clippin' coupons.  Oh poo, apparently we're headed to the pool now.  Hasta la pasta!

It finally happened . . . they shut down and laid off most of Ryan's division yesterday, including the office he was managing.  He has until May 29 to find another position within the company before he gets laid off (with severance).  So, it looks like we'll be starting a new chapter here pretty soon; I feel calm about it.  At least the commuting to San Diego will be coming to a close!  In the meantime he'll be helping to physically shut down/pack up their office out there.

Our neighborhood pool opens early in the year and closes late (usually runs April to October).  My kids have been informed that it has to be at least 90 degrees outside before it is nearly warm enough to go swimming.  In their little minds, that means that 90 degrees = pester Mom to take them to the pool.  Problem -- our pool is not heated, so while the outside temperature can get warm, the water hasn't really warmed up yet at all.  I put a toe in yesterday and it was ICE!  But that doesn't stop determined kids!

It's going to be low 90's again today, so you'll know where to find me this afternoon . . .

You see that Ava has become part of the swim shirt club this year!  I have actually ordered one for myself to give it a try when the water is w-a-r-m-e-r.

I have finally hopped on board the digital scrapbooking train!  Ha ha, I still remember telling Misty a few years ago that I couldn't get why people would do it digitally over "the real thing," but I'm gettin' it now.  :-)  I'm actually having a lot of fun teaching myself Photoshop Elements, and I have finally gotten the hang of using templates, so it's going a lot easier now.  I won't win any awards for what I do, but my kids are excited to see pictures of the family.  I do most of my layouts in 8x8 size and can get those emailed off to Costco and have been happy with the quality of their prints.

The best part of digital scrapbooking?  Airbrushing, baby!
